Emma Simpson’s greatest joy is partnering with folks to make music. Her teaching style is process-centered and encourages students and families to be exactly who they are. From performing music in intimate and large settings to leading workshops, and coaching musicians to make their dreams happen, connecting with people is what she loves most!

She studied upright bass at Cornish College of the Arts, and earned her BS in Human Development from UC Davis in 2018. As of 2024, Emma is an Associate Certified Coach with over 150 coaching hours. When she’s not teaching, she’s tending to her garden, making soup, or traveling the world.
